Martial Arts Club
MISSION: “To foster a culture of self discipline, self control and perseverance among members by instilling the techniques of self defense using the old age art of bare hands”
Martial Art encompasses Karate-do and Tae-kwon-do. The club boasts of 28 training (active) members.
THE GOALS AND OBJECTIVES
- To equip the learners with the skills of self defence using bare hands.
- To expose learners to the Oriental cultural way of self defense.
- To make learners keep fit while learning.
- To create the spirit of competition among the learners inside and outside the school.
PREPARATION AND DAY OF EVENTS
The members train every Wednesday and Thursday depending on need and schedule. Training uniform, gloves and mats are the equipment required.
Training fee presently is Kshs.1,500/- per term.

Martial art club is one of the clubs in Oshwal Academy Nairobi’s Junior High, with a considerable member turn up, up to date (Term 3) it has a bout 20 members who are registered.
OBJECTIVE OF THE CLUB
The main objective of the club is: to impart defensive skills to the young generation, to promote virtues like discipline and trust in oneself among others. These are gained through team training, involvemement in community activities, taking part in martial art tournaments both interschool and international and also volunteerism whenever it deems necessary.
CLUB ACTIVITIES SCHEDULED FOR TERM 3
- Constant training on Tuesdays and Friday s at 4-5pm.
- Security offer during music and dance night
- End of term grading of members to next level
- Trips/Expedition
- Talent’s show martial art demonstration.
