Scouts Movement
Oshwal scouts troop was started in June 2009 with only four members. The troop has grown to 30 registered members. The troops category is MWAMBA (rock) and its colour is maroon. Oshwal troop is under the jurisdiction of the Westland’s District Area Commissioner Mr. Daniel Mwemba.
Our objectives;
- Uphold the scouts Promise and Law
- Participate in different types of camps
- Flag raising
- Participate in inter patrol competition
- Learn scouts Knots and lashings
- Network with other scouts within the district, nationally and internationally
- Continually recruit other students to be scouts
- Participate in Community service
- Improve the environment around us

Oshwal troop participated in tree planting campaign (Nairobi Green line campaign) on 5th June 2010 and they also visited a children’s home for the poor and orphaned at Riruta on 11th April, 2010 where they donated foodstuff and clothing.
On 26th June oshwal scouts troop held its first investiture ceremony in the history of the school. Each scout received a world badge. This was a moment of pride for our school.
The future is bright for the scouting movement. Our motto is Scouting is life…… the rest is just details.
