Wildlife Club
MISSION: “To educate, inspire and assist the students of Oshwal Academy Nairobi, individuals and Organisations of diverse culture to conserve wildlife and different ecosystems.”
THE GOALS AND OBJECTIVES:
To encourage students of Oshwal Academy Nairobi and their parents tour the different Ecosystems and National Parks in the country.
To learn from other Kenyans and International organizations actively working to restore / or conserving their local environment.
To enable the students of Oshwal Academy Nairobi enjoy and appreciate the country’s tourist / conservation sites.
To provide training for students care for animals like cats, dogs, rabbits, pets and farm animals.
ACTIVITIES:
- Tree Planting at Kereita Forest on 28th November 2010
- Planting of flowers in the school compound.
- Participation in Art and Essay writing competitions concerning wildlife and conservation.
- Tree planting, visit to Nairobi – trial camps for students, observe wildlife week, contributing articles to National and International wildlife magazines, using awareness programmes through films.
MEMBERSHIP: Renewed yearly. Students membership card is Kshs.20 each per year. The card is signed, stamped and a passport size photo affixed to gain entry into the club and any National Park.
