Oratorical Competition

STARS IN THE MAKING

YEAR 7S DEFINE THEMSELVES ON STAGE

Yesterday, 11th May was year 7′s Inter-house Oratorical Competition which sparked off at 2.30 p.m.

Who would, even in their wildest imagination, think that the young ones understood the word ‘Love’ so well, both in meaning and expression? The audience will tell you that they are only young in age but old at heart.

The poetry category was the most interesting category with the poem “First Love” .The facial expressions were a clear evidence that they best understood their subject and knew how and where to capture and sustain their audience.

Then came the ‘speech category’ At some point, our very own Najma and Serah could be mistaken for Prof. Wangari Maathai herself when she gave her speech after winning the Nobel peace prize back in 2004.

The last item was the “Narrative” whose participants had to narrate a made up story.

Year 7′s are quite gifted and talented and would recommend more opportunities for them in future in order to gain exposure.

Sample the results here below.

Best in poetry – Raisal Virani            -                  7E (Simba)
